I can’t believe another week has gone by and we’re already heading in to week 4 of the 12 Week Challenge!
This week was a difficult one for me… I’m feeling quite tired and a bit emotional. I’m so incredibly lucky to have been give this opportunity. The professional advice and support is priceless but at the same time I’ve come to realize that it is me that has to do the most difficult work. Getting up early to exercise in the cold, careful planning of meals and resisting temptations. You can have all the professional advice in the world but it’s YOU who has to put in the effort to get results!
This week I’ve carried on with my exercises from Nicky and can already feel a huge difference in my body. Tuesday we had a group yoga class with Glynis and it was fantastic! Peaceful and physically challenging all in one. I enjoyed every minute of the class and will definitely be back for more! I love the combination of mind, body and spirit work that is yoga and it really brought home to me how important the mental and emotional part of this journey are, it isn’t just food and exercise.
Wednesday was a chilly start to the Sunrise Walk. I really thought I would be a lot faster than last week but it turns out I was only a minute quicker (although Nicky did sneak in an extra hill for me, so I’m going to blame that!). Anyway, next week I’ll have to push even harder. Craigie drive… bring it on!
I’ve been keeping up with my log book entries (it helps when it is such a lovely journal!) and looking forward to the challenges next week brings, including weigh-in with Steph on Monday. Hold thumbs!
Lots of love,
